An elegant Motor Yacht and full time Live Aboard Cruiser If you are looking for a place to live, consider an inexpensive home on the water that can also travel and save 90% the price of a condo. Additionally, our "rent" (total expense) at a quality resort / marina in NC has been $350 per month- your area may vary. There is a large forward stateroom with "V" bunks and head, a very large aft stateroom with queen, and a head with shower. The large saloon is bright and airy, making this a wonderfully comfortable live aboard. With new full sized appliances and the open space design of a conventional living situation- it is a home. This was our design intent as we planned on remaining aboard for many years. Then we recently found a land based home we just could not pass up.Structurally the boat is terrifically solid. Deck and cabin area: The deck all around and walkway have been redone and redesigned as have the cabin sides and forward section. . New Complete computer/TV/Surround sound/am/fm/CD /multiplex remote control entertainment and information control center, 200 watt 330 Celeron D processor 80gig Hard Drive XP loaded 17 inch flat screen Dell, RCA professional series, Bose, Audiophile entertainment/performance system. Engines were rebuilt in 1977, but not run much after that. I recently installed new Carter 4bbl carburetors, new fuel pumps, new high capacity fuel filters and lines, new electronic ignition systems and components, new regulators, ECU's, rebuilt all alternators, replaced one raw water pump, all belts and most hoses, and complete fluid change and tune ups. Replaced all 4 cutlass bearings and realigned with new fasteners all running gear. The vessel's haul out schedule for routine 3 year topside and bottom cleaning and paint is for the summer 2006; and is now underway. This is a great time to inspect the bottom and running gear. Because of my situation, there is the possibility of some owner financing. A trade may also be possible. A smaller boat (28'-30' Chris, Bertram, Black Fin, etc) or land, or commercial building- I don't know. I would prefer cash, but am willing to listen. We can also discuss delivery if you wish. Webmaster Notes: Just a quick word on "wood" hull boats. Having just observed a friend with a 44' fiberglass boat spend almost $50,000 (not a misprint) fixing hull blisters, I can tell you fiberglass is not maintenance free and can be exceedingly expensive when something goes wrong. Fiberglass as a boat building material gained popularity, not for inherent superiority as a material, but because fiberglass boats are cheaper to build and lend themselves to a production line.. All boat hulls, whether "plastic" or "wood" require maintenance. Properly maintain a wood hull and routine maintenance expenses can be negligible, and less than fiberglass. The owner is a marine mechanic, professionally skilled in mechanical, electrical, woodright, and fiberglass disciplines. As with any vessel, there are on-going, normal maintenance or upgrade projects underway or anticipated. Please do not confuse this Pacemaker with those "needing work or TLC" or some other such wording. This boat is absolutely seaworthy and needs nothing except a new owner as evidenced by the fact that it recently completed a non-stop 2 person voyage from Rhode Island to North Carolina.
